چکیده

Abstract Background Neuroblastoma is a childhood neural crest tumor showing large clinical and genetic heterogeneity, one form displaying 11q-deletion very aggressive. It has been shown that results in decreased expression of DLG2 , gene residing the deleted region. number different isoforms with main difference presence or absence L27 domain. The domain containing DLG proteins can complexes CASK/MPP LIN7 protein family members, which will control cell polarity signaling. Methods We evaluated for their differently INSS staged neuroblastoma from publically available data primary tumors, we included two distinct DLG1 N-terminal transcript encoding domains expression. Functionality LIN7A were 11q-deleted line SKNAS. Results In only expressed: isoform 2 7/8. Using array could determine higher members contain correlated to better survival prognosis. Whilst showed decrease both increased stage, full length transcripts DLG2-isoform 7/8 high stage neuroblastoma. show encoded by 7 bind LIN7A, this reduced proliferation viability, BAX/BCL2 ratio indicating apoptosis. Conclusion have provided evidence but not lacking disrupted neuroblastoma, particular aggressive subsets tumors. complete allows binding signaling, thus affecting cancer viability.

Screening the partial coding region of metallothionein isoform-2 gene in Zebu cattle

Metallothionein (MT) is important because it binds tightly to heavy metals to decrease their toxicity. DNA was isolated from 30 toxic metal exposed and 30 toxic metal unexposed Zebu cows. The amplified metallothionein isoform-2 (MT-2) PCR product (489 bp) was further used for PCR-RFLP and DNA sequencing. MT-2 TaqI PCR-RFLP revealed homozygous genotype (AA) except for the E23 animal (AB). The ge...

The slow isoform of XenopustroponinI is expressed in developing skeletal muscle but not in the heart

In birds and mammals three isoforms of troponin I (TnI) exist; a slow (TnIs), a fast (TnIf) and a cardiac (TnIc). Although each of these isoforms is expressed in the adult forms of these organisms in a muscle fiber-type-specific manner, the gene encoding TnIs is also expressed within the developing heart of these vertebrates. Herein, our results demonstrate that the developing heart of Xenopus ...

Monoclonal antibody inhibiting creatine kinase MM3 but not isoform MM1.

Monoclonal antibody CKM-G01 inhibited greater than 99% of the activity of porcine and human creatine kinase(CK)-MM isoenzyme purified from muscle. However, it inhibited only 54% of CK-MM in human serum. Chromatofocusing of serum CK-MM showed that CKM-G01 inhibited 100% of MM3 but not isoform MM1. CKM-G01 inhibited CK-MM2 by 57%. CKM-G01 specifically inhibited only the original CK-M subunit and ...

Progesterone receptor isoform A but not B is expressed in endometriosis.

We previously demonstrated that 17beta hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 2, the enzyme that inactivates estradiol to estrone, is expressed in luteal eutopic endometrium in response to progesterone but not in simultaneously biopsied peritoneal endometriotic tissue. This molecular evidence of progesterone resistance, together with the clinical observation of resistance of endometriosis to treatme...
